Montreal, November 22, 2024 – Axceta is pleased to announce the awarding of financial assistance of $255,000 through the Agri-Innovate program of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, an initiative under the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership. This funding will support the efforts of Axceta’s Agflo Connected Silos division. Axceta is a rapidly growing Montreal-based company dedicated to transforming businesses through the potential of the Internet of Things (IoT) and data visualization.
This contribution will enable the company, which already counts key players such as Agco Corp, Sollio, and Hydro-Québec among its clients, to accelerate the development of its connected silos solution for the AgTech industry, enhance its commercialization efforts, and expand into new markets in Canada and the United States.
“The Agri-Innovate contribution will allow us to continue developing our Connected Silos solution, a product of our Agflo division focused on Connected Agriculture Innovation. With over 10 clients in Quebec and more than 250 sensors already deployed, we are now working to increase the reliability of our readings and extend the maintenance-free lifespan of our sensors to penetrate larger farming operations in markets like the United States and the rest of Canada,” said François Roy, founder and Chief Operating Officer of Axceta.
“By supporting this innovative project, we’re giving our farmers and millers the tools they need to be leaders in the industry. We are boosting Canadian agriculture and making it more competitive, ensuring the strength and sustainability of the sector in the long haul,” said the Honourable Lawrence MacAulay, Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food.
